Help[Opinions] about Elise/Elsie...

The reason I think Elise/Elsie could be a problem is b/c where I'm from Elise is very, very, very uncommon. Elsie is fairly common among the elderly, and you know how easy it is for people to switch 2 letters when they look at a name and mistake it for a different name that pops into their head more immediately.
Someone posted this comment on BTN about Elise:
"This is my name. I never have to worry about getting mixed up with other girls at school, because I am the only Elise. Not only is it pretty, it ages well. The only possible downside is constantly getting called Elsie by people who can't read."
On the other hand, there is a similar comment about Elisa:
"My name is Elisa, and I really like it apart from the fact that it's hard for people to remember or pronounce straight away. I get called Alyssa, Eliza, Elise, Elsa, Elsie and Ailsa. It is pronounced the same as 'Lisa' with an 'E' on the front, ie: el-ee-sah."
So - I guess you can never win! Some people will always mispronounce a name, unless it's something like Sara. :)
I've always like Elise/Elyse as a middle name, but I think it could possibly work for me as a first name as Elisa.
