Wdyto the name Bianca? It's been on my mind lately.

I really, really like Bianca. It's a beautiful name. Different but not weird. Sounds very elegant and refined.

I love it, Don't like it pronounced be-anchor(like a friend I know) but love it pronounced be-arn-ca, I think it's the french way to pronouce it.

That pronunciation is unlikely to be French, as Bianca isn't a French name - it's Blanche in France, Blanca in Spain and Bianca in Italy. bee-AYN-ka is the common pronunciation in English-speaking countries, but in Italy it's more like bee-UHN-ca which is I think what you're getting at. (Think how it's pronounced in the movie "10 Things I Hate About You" - that's what I mean, with the 'a' sound swallowed a bit).

I utterly adore it...
... and it's been a favorite of mine for awhile now. It has such a beautiful, perhaps exotic sound to it, but without making it seem weird or too unusual. It also has a pretty meaning.
I will probably never use it, though, as it is an Italian name, and I don't have an ounce of Italian blood in my body (at least none that I'm aware of). And for some reason, as much as I love it, it does have a slightly trashy and, dare I say "stripper-ish" vibe to it, though I can't quite put my finger on why.

I first started to like this name almost two years ago when my high school was doing "Taming of the Shrew". Now it's one of my favorites.
