[Opinions] What could Rory be used as a nickname for?
What are some other names that Rory could be used as a nickname for?I prefer it for a boy, although I've seen it used for a girl on its own and as a nickname for Aurora and Lorelei,However I can't really seem to think of any boys names that it would work as a nickname for.The original spelling is of course RUAIDHRÍ.And there is RÓRDÁN and RIORDAN, which could work.

I just like Ruairi myself, but Rory could be a nn for Roderick? Roderick is nmsaa, mind you ...

I've always thought of Rory as being masculine because it was the name of one of my (male) teachers last year. I think it could make a good nn for Ronan.

I'm actually looking for boys names, I just mentioned the others as ones I've heard, I really don't like it as much for a girl, but thank you for your suggestions.

I love Rory for a boy, and I've recently come to love RÓRDÁN, which I think would be a great fn with Rory as the nn. :)
Riordan is ok, but is pron. more like REAR-don or REE-ar-don, which I don't care for (the "rear" sound, that is).

I would say Aurora. I really like the name, but Rory is so hard to pronounce to me.

Rowan, maybe?
