We have a new (male) French transfer student named
Camille. He pronounces it ka-mee, not the American ka-MEEL way (obviously, considering he's French ... *doh*) Anyway, one the first things he said when introducing himself was, "It's a girl's name, but never mind." (He laughed while saying it - so I don't think he's actually losing sleep over that.)
Anyway, I was curious - in
France, is the name predominantly male or female? Just out of interest.
