Noah
Now, everyone called her Noah, but I'm not sure about the spelling. This is the name of a gal who is helping operate the shelter we've set up in my town because of the flood. So anyway, what do you think of Noah for a girl? I'm really hoping her name is Nola and everyone's mis-pronouncing it...

Noah on a girl has no source in Hebrew. NOA yes.

Lol, she's helping with a flood how ironic! Not laughing at the flood either, just that fact that her name is Noah and she's helping with the flood. Anyway, hate Noah or a girl, doesn't suit a female at all imo, but I love it for a boy, it's one of my faves.

Noah is legit for a girl . . .Click on the Noah link. There's two separate names there - Noah the boys' name and Noah the girls' name. There's also Noa, the feminine form of Noah-the-boys-name.I don't like any of them on a girl, but at least they're legit.

Noa (usually transcribed without a h) is a legit Hebrew women's name, quite common in Israel. I think Noah is pronounced differently in Hebrew, anyway.
Noa is nice, Noah on a girl as if it were, say, Micah or Jonah is apalling.

I love Noah for a boy and Noa for a girl! I know quite a few female Noas.

I can't stand when boy names go girl. There are SO many girl names. And not enough boy names. There are so many awesome boy names that are hard to reclaim, like Casey, Sasha and Morgan. (My son happens to be named a name that has been a boy name for hundreds of years. It ranks #500-something on the boys list and #300 on the girls list! UGH!

I love the name Noa on a girl. It's cute and a legitimate girl name. (As is Noah).

I adore Noa for girlIf you're not sure of the spelling I'm hoping it's Noa. Noa ranked 16th on the girls popularity lists in 2006 in the Netherlands. I love Noa, and I prefer it over Noah for a boy.

NoaVery common girl name in some areas of the world. High on my own list as well (though not quite high enough that I'll likely use it.)

I have a nephew named Noah. This spelling is all male to me. Noa is female, IMO.

Could it have been Noa?
