Finbarr
I have several things that I would like to ask, but first, what do you think of Finbarr? I've always liked it, but it seems to be growing on me even more lately. Do you think "Fin" names are becoming a little trendy, though? I've seen them a lot lately. How about Linnéa? It sound very pretty to me, but do you think people would pronounce it incorrectly in the US?Finally, how do you feel about Fernanda with the possible nn Fern? Fern itself has always been a favorite because of someone I knew by that name, but I've also been liking Fernanda lately. Is it too ethnic for someone of no Spanish descent? Thanks a lot! :-)

I know a few Linneas..A few do misprounce it, but most pronunce it correctly. And Fin names are super, super trendy. There are so many variations, all with the nickname "Finn" I don't really like the bar in it, though.Fernanda is quite cool, actually. I'm not sure if its too ethnic, but I don't really think so. In fact, I think it might become a favorite!

Finbarr is a great name, I think, and much less popular than other "Finn" names. I also love Linnea, and don't think most people would have trouble with it. If the girl lived in America though, the accent would be constantly left off on her forms, bills, etc. IMO, Fernanda sounds like it's missing the "din" part, which makes it seem a little awkward. The nn Fern is just nms.

I like Finley, Finlay, Fintan, Finnigan, simple Finn or even Finnian, but Finbarr... no. The bar element puts me off.Linnéa is pretty, but in English speaking countries I think I would not use the accent - she would have to spell it all the time, and remind everyone of it. Linnea is nice as well.Fernanda is OK - a bit too strong for my taste, but fine. Fern is adorable!
Read, read, read, read! Let me tell you something - last time I read a book, I was raped. Let THAT be a lesson to you.

Linnéa is a very pretty name. I also like Fern. It's a pretty name that isn't used very often anymore. I don't care for Fernanda. Linnéa Fern would be a nice combo. As for Finbarr, I don't like it at all. Finlay / Finley and Finn are nice though. I seem to see Finlay around more often than before, but I haven't seen Finbarr mentioned on boards lately.
