Sherlock
Do you think Sherlock is useable as a name?

Honestly,
I think it's completely cool. :)
The only possible drawback I can see is his hearing that phrase a lot...similar to "No sharpies, Sherlock!"

No, I'd find it very silly.
Love SHolmes, but no can't see it being a name these days.
Oh dear
Methinks the association is just a wee mite too strong! :o) But it would make a wicked middle name.

Yes
I really do. yes people will make the associated alot at first, but once they get over it, it's a really nice name. I like it

No
There's only one (obvious) association, and the name itself sounds ugly.

Yes please. Please do this. Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
I love you so much, thank god for you
I've always rather enjoyed the notion of two bloodhounds (or bassets, actually, depending on one's dogfood budget) named Sherlock and Mycroft.
I agree, the mn slot is safer for humans, and I see no reason at all not to use it. William Sherlock; Will Sherlock; aha, got it! Robin Hood's merry man, Will Scarlet. Not an association everyone might have ... and it does flow well.

I'd laugh if I met a Sherlock, but it'd actually be pretty cool if someone could pull it off.
Noooooo. Just no.
no no no
