For a girls middle name only. I'm trying to come up with some girls names that would honor someone named Raymond. Any ideas??? All I can think of is Raya. WDYT of it???Thanks

I think Raya could be kind of pretty if used in the right pairing. It would be especially nice as a middle name. Ramona could also honor a Raymond. Or Rae as a middle name.

Thanks! I like Ramona but DH thinks it's to old ladyish. Sorry no offence. But I really like Rae but DH thinks it's screams male! He's hopeless I know! lol!

Well, its a nice enough middle name I think. I do prefer Mireya or Mireia (Meer-ay-uh), Reina, or just plain Rae

Thank you! I hadn't even thought about Mireia or Reina!!!

I actually quite like Raya. I think it would work well to honour a Raymond.

I actually really like Raya, though some people may try to say RYE-uh (like Maya, Kaya, Naya, etc.) Personally I think any name starting with the "Ray" sound could work.
Rachel
Raven
Rayna
Raisa
Rayen
Ramona

Raya is very nice (I say RAY-uh). I also like Raye and happen know a Reyhaneh from Iran, now living in the U.S., who goes by "Raye". I think both Raya and Raye are very warm, bright, cheerful names.ETA: I like Raymond a lot too...he's under-appreciated, I think.

She pronounces Reyhaneh as "ray-HAWN-uh".

I love Rae as a girl's middle name, I always used to pair it with Isabella but now I've got it in a combo with Liliana.
Raine?
Mona?I don't like sound of Raya much, it just sounds like someone has taken a name and stuck an 'a' on the end to try to make it more popular.

I love it, it's been on my favourites list several times, although no partner of mine has ever cared for it. I like the sound and the meaning.

It's pretty and reminds me of Soraya.

Soraya is cute! One of my favorite names for a girl is Sariah! Somewhat close to it! lol!!

At first I thought of Soraya too - which I love. But I pronounce Soraya suh-RYE-uh and Raya RAY-uh. How are you pronouncing Raya?

My Aunt Soraya pronounces it suh-RAY-uh. Not rye.
