Ian. I don’t really hear Ian much, but it’s simple and established. Conall is just weird.

I would willingly have used Ian as the fn for my son; unfortunately my SIL had just divorced a very nice Ian and it would have looked like taking sides. If I'd had a second son, he'd have been Ian for sure, because it's a magical classic and also because of my two dearest guy friends.Conall doesn't appeal to me at all. I've never met one, so I've got no connections or associations.

I’m going to pick Conall! I really enjoy the way this name sounds and its meaning. Ian isn’t a bad name either.
