Late 19th century Scottish sibset
Andrew Watson (1856-1921) was a Scottish footballer. Born to a Scottish father and a Guianese father, he married first Jessie Nimmo Armour, with whom he had two children: Rupert Andrew and Agnes Maude. After her death, he married Eliza Kate Tyler, with whom he had another son and daughter - Henry Tyler and Phyllis Kate.• Does anyone know anything about the origins of the name Nimmo?• Which of his children's names is your favourite?• What would you name another brother and sister to Rupert Andrew, Agnes Maude, Henry Tyler, and Phyllis Kate?I most like Agnes Maude. I'd add Irving Lewis and Esther Nancy. 🕊️❣️🌻💌🌻❣️🕊️masculine list: https://www.behindthename.com/pnl/191050/124079

Jessie, Eliza, Kate - he really liked ladies with nns for fns! I'm not fond of Andrew, and Rupert is all comic teddy-bear. I prefer Agatha to Agnes, and Maud to Maude. Henry doesn't appeal; Phyllis is OK but suffers, in South Africa, from sounding like the Afrikaans word for garbage - vullis.

I'm fascinated by Agnes Maude. Both names considered hideous by most, but there's just something about them...Rupert and Henry are great names, but the former is more interesting. Phyllis is just too matronly, and Kate only cheapens it.
