Twins in the news

I definitely feel like I shouldn’t like it, and yet…
Two matchy in theme and starting letter
Ebony and Ivory 2.0.
Kerilyntaryn21 summed up my exact thoughts. There's nothing more to add onto that, except for stating how much I dislike alliteration for siblings, especially for twins. I understand same letter for siblings sometimes occur (have instances in my family) but when it's done on intention and for twins, well, that's just as bad as having their names rhyme, imo.
I also had an aunt by marriage who liked to name her dogs after gemstones. A little while after Onyx passed away from old age, she got another dog who she named Opal. She also used Diamond who she had at the same time as Onyx.

Very Marvel comics. No doubt their last name is Osgood... Next gen Avengers.
I like it but would have advised against it if I knew the parents. It would be really good for a pair of kittens.
I like both names and I actually like them together. Sorry, not sorry!
They're trendy but fun, and I like it. Siblings sharing the same initial letter in their name barely registers to me unless there are 4+ of them. The theme is like Ruby & Jasper or Sterling & Pearl or Rowan & Hazel - I don't care about those being matchy either.
Imagine if they had been Odin and Freya? Or Ocean and River? Or Ocean and Odin? This is so much better imv.

They're two of my favorite stones, but I only like Onyx as a name (for either gender). I don't really know why, but the sound of Opal has never appealed to me. It's probably the "puhl" part. I wish the name appealed to me, because I love opals.
It’s not bad that you like these names; it’s your opinion, of course! Would I use these names at all? Most likely not; I don’t really care for their sounds (though, the stones are beautiful!).
