Symantha
I came across this alternate spelling of my name (Samantha), and I actually think it's pretty. Most alternate spellings of my name are just bad (Samatha, Samanatha, Sammantha).

Much prefer Samantha
Using such an unexpected vowel doesn't improve Samantha any. Sam- and Sym- are both neutral and unstressed, so there's very little point and the Symantha people will just spend their lives spelling their name and explaining that, no, it isn't a weird typo.
Atrocious!
I prefer Symphorosa.

I don't care for it at all. A spelling like that would cause unnecessary confusion in terms of spelling and pronunciation. If I wasn't aware I would have thought that was a completely different name, said as sigh-mantha. Lol. Samantha is just one of those names that look better as is. If I had to choose an alternative spelling however, I'd probably choose Samatha.
