I kind of like Jack Valjean.I also love Irish names, my top 5 are:1. Niamh (fem. Gaelic, pr. Neve)
2. Ava, this is actually Greek, but it's very popular in Ireland.
3. Ian (m)
4. Sophia (nn. Sophie)
5. JackWhat other Irish names do you like. some of my other favorites are:
Shay (m), Declan (m), Emma (f), Liam (m), Ethne (f), and Jake (m).I also like these two spanish names:Marisol

What about... (in descending order of how much I like them)
Eponine
Azelma
Gavroche
Fantine
Corinth (a place, not a character, but I kind of like it)
Gervais
Baptistine
Euphrasie (Cosette's "real" name)
Enjolras
TheoduleSome of those are very nice names, IMO. Cosette Euphrasie is kind of nice... I think Valjean would do more as a middle name.

Most of your "Irish" names, aren't Irish, please do some more research.

Your top 5 are nice, safe choices, but rather dull.Of your Les Mis names, I support Cosette or Marius, but Valjean? Just another surname turned name name. What's wrong with Jean by itself? Valjean is a bit over the top as a FN. It might work as a MN with the right FN, but Jack is not it. Jack and Jean are two forms of the same name, so this is like naming your kid Dave David. Blegh.Marisol and Tea are both lovely, and Tea Marisol would be a very pretty combo. Rose is a yawn as a MN.

Ok . . .Cosette - nice
Valjean - this is a surname. The character's name is Jean Valjean.
Marius - it's okMarius James - it's fine
Rudy David - dislike Rudy, David is fine
Jack Valjean - I don't like it, since Jack and Jean are the same name. I don't like Jean Valjean's name for the same reason!Niamh - love it, but prefer the Anglicised spelling
Ava - it's not Greek! And it's popular *everywhere* right now. I don't like it.
Ian - Scottish, not Irish. I like it.
Sophia (nn. Sophie) - Greek, not Irish. I don't like Sophia but I like Sophie / Sofie.
Jack - English, not Irish. It's ok but I prefer it as a nickname.Shay - only like it as a girl's middle name
Declan - fine, not my style
Emma - Not Irish! I like it.
Liam - Nice
Ethne - it's ok, prefer Enya.
Jake - Not Irish! I hate it.For someone who says she likes Irish names, you seem to know almost nothing about them . . .Marisol - it's ok, but I think of parasols
Teá - it's ok, but I prefer Tia.Teá Rose - fine, but Rose is overused as a middle name.
