Remy on a girl ???
In BtN its says that Remy with the accent thingy is a boys name but I love it for a girl but without the accent. What do you think? Also BtN says that Remy with the accent is pronounced Ray-mee so if Remy is spelt without the accent does that mean it will be pronounced Rey-mee ? What do you think is the best pronounciation for a girl?I got this name from This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen by the way.Can anyone think of any good middle names that are not too long, elaborate or common?Thank you !

I don't like it at all...(m)I don't care for it at all for a girl. It's a traditional French boy's name. This unisex trend is just getting dull. I would just leave it a boy's name.

Totally masculine in my opinion.:)

NoMale names should stay on males imo. And what if your daughter ever goes to France, or some other French-speaking country?Remigia would be the Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, and Latin feminine form of Rémy. And you could still use the nickname Remi / Remy.Other alternatives: Remedios, Remei, Rema (Latin/Italian fem. form of Remus / Remo), and Remiela (fem. form of Remiel). Or switch out the M for a N, and nickname her Renny: Ren, Renata, Renate, Renée, or even Renza (fem. form of Renzo).P.S. That "accent thingy" is called an acute.

Can't say I like it...the only Remy I know uses it as a nn for Remington, so it sounds odd to me on a girl.

One of my friends has a sister called Remielle who ALWAYS goes by Remi. I'm used to it as a girls name. She pronounces it rem-EE

I think Remy without the accent looks like a girls name. On other sites it says it is a girls name. It's French and means "From Rheims", but I'm not sure whether to trust the site I got it from or not.Remy Andrea
Remy Brittany
Remy Cyndie
Remy Julia
Remy Madeleine

Thank you. I'll give those combos some thought.
