I love it. A little girl (sister of a boy on Gunner's soccer team) is named Sunny Vail. Her mother is a twin (their names are Paige and Vail). Her brother is Skylar. Sunny is an absolutely gorgeous girl. She is 4 with really long, wavy, reddish-blonde hair.
So, yes, I see it as totally usable. Other people's perceptions don't affect me as much, but heck, how can you not love someone named Sunny? LOL :D
I'm not as wild about the "Sun" form of it though. Not sure why, it just turns from a cool, fun name to... eh.
