Actually, just click the link to Beau and you'll see what is listed as the meaning, here at an etymology site (as opposed to a baby name book or website which may or may not be credible). There, argument solved. :b

The database is neither perfect nor absolute . . .Mike does his best, but there are errors both of knowledge and of omission in some of the entries. The fact that it's "in the database" is a good sign that it's true, but without a French dictionary (or a French speaker) we can't be sure.
