What university did this student attend? What is his surname?This looks like the kind of name that could have been recently created within African-American culture in the United States. So any information on the ethnic background of this student would be helpful in deciding whether or not that's a likely origin in this case.

Anterus is a name listed in Slownik imion, a book published in Poland in 1991 which merely gives lists of the forms of names in 28 different European langauges. It gives Anterus as a name occuring in Polish, Czech, Finnish, and German, with the original form being Latin Antherus. Antero is given as the Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian form of the same name. But I have no idea if Anterus/Antherus is really the name behind Antarius.

Sorry for my delayed response.The university was in Germany. The last name made me think that the student came from East Europe. Did that help?
