I love this name for a girl but not a boy. If it were short for Veronica that would be lovely. I knew a woman named Ronni and she was so nice and beautiful; that's probably why I like it.
There's also a love song called "Ronni" by the Four Seasons and it's about a girl, if that helps you justify it :)
