As a one-year anniversary thing, David and Katie go on a second honeymoon. Last time, they traveled around Great Britain. This time, David and Katie have decided to visit France, Spain, and Portugal.

David has been asked to do a series of short lectures around the country at medical schools. He accepted, and he and Katie are off on their adventures, Katie still somehow managing to be mayor of their town.

Katie and David are adopting a twelve-year-old and a fifteen-year-old from Haiti. The two sisters lost their family years ago, and are absolutely elated to finally be adopted. Fifteen-year-old Laetitia Juliette, nicknamed Julie, and twelve-year-old Madeleine Yvonne have officially become Andersons.

On her way from dropping Julie and Madeleine off at a party, Katie is involved in a car crash. The other car was speeding just as Katie turned the corner. Smashing right into each other, the two cars were banged up. Katie had to be taken to the hospital for a check-up, and luckily nothing was wrong.

Katie takes Julie and Madeleine to Hawaii during spring break, in celebration of her (Katie's) thirty-second birthday. David stayed home, since he needed to continue working.

David and Katie have adopted a sixteen-year-old boy and his eleven-year-old sister. The two siblings are from Australia. Their parents were killed in a a recent car crash, which, obviously, was quite horrible. Isaac Jordan and Alice Keira are glad to be able to run into someone's open arms with their joys and sorrows.

While the children are off at school, Katie's been taking classes at a community college. She received a notice from someplace asking her to audition for a play. Katie's lifelong dream has been to be in a professional play. She accepted, and received the leading female role.

After ten years of marriage, Katie and David have finally welcomed their first flesh-and-blood child! Well... make that children. Katie gave birth to two boys, two identical boys. And two identical girls. Quadruplets! Having lived in a smaller house these ten years, Katie and David have decided they need to move. Oliver Jason, Braeden Josiah, Winona Fiammetta, and Ariadne Abigail are the joys of the young Anderson family (meaning not Jacob & Silvia).

In the middle of the day, Alice, now sixteen, began having trouble breathing. David and Katie knew she had asthmas, but this was the worst attack they'd seen yet. And it interrupted school. The high school Alice attends called 9-1-1, and the ambulance rushed to pick her up. Alice stayed in the hospital for the rest of the day, and at the end of the day was able to go home.

Matilda Sofia, six-year-old, and Francesca Sienna, eight-year-old, have arrived from Britain. Tilly and Frances lost their parents when Tilly was three months old. Frances was only two. Neither can remember their parents, of course. They have pictures of them, though, and they treasure them very much.
