Sorry but Mare is an insult that my mother uses for me, and everyone, it's a female horse and although I like horses it will also be an insult to me. I dislike Tracy for either gender because of personal reasons - maybe as a middle name instead? - I think a male Tracy would get bullied as would a Mare.
