I sorta like the Italian Orazio, so if I had to use Horatio, I'd push for that variant.
Horatio just sounds goofy to me, or maybe goofy with a side of nasty because of the whole "whore ratio" thing. If Orazio was not an option, I'd stick Horatio behind a couple staid, classic names, like William Edgar Horatio.
