Darwin's been on my list for .. I think almost as long as I've had one written down. Totally it could work. Well, for me anyway. I think any associations with C.Darwin namesakeage would go away if it were on a real guy.
Darwin is my "guilty pleasure surname name" .. besides, I rather like the implication of
Darwin being a namesakeable figure for his scientific work.
Adair is not my style - it seems kind of flip and theatrical; second syllable stress in male names is only occasionally masculine enough for my taste. (I'd pronounce it: uh-DARE.)
