[Opinions] Re: Name a kid
What are your thoughts on giving kids names with two different styles if the parents have completely different tastes in names? Maybe not for twins, but for two siblings? I feel like it’s nice to let both parents have one of their favorite names used, even if the style is different.

For me, there's a fine line between different styles and disparate styles. For example, some of the names in the styles I mentioned above can be mixed. Many Biblical names can be mixed with traditional names because they can be classified as being in both categories (Mary & John). Some mythological names can be paired with other styles like Biblical (Athena & Gabriel) or Traditional (Diana & Henry). As long as the names aren't too disparate, too glaringly different, and sound like the same parents named them, the styles can be mixed. For me, the sibling names have to "gel" and work well together. In the case of parents have completely different styles, a compromise would have to be implemented. Let's say the mother liked Modern names and the father liked Traditional. It would have to be decided by the couple how it would work. Maybe the first names could be Traditional in style and the middle names be chosen from the Modern category (or vice versa). Personally, I wouldn't mix a Jayden & Margaret or Hannah & a Maverick. They just don't sound right. They sound like they're not from the same family.Names are very subjective and everyone has their comfort level. I prefer sibling names to have a certain cohesion. For others, it may not matter so much.
I think the same style is best, I've known families that haven't and kids have wondered why there name doesn't match
