1987? 😀 I can see what you mean though. These are definitely 80s names.
Actually it was set in medieval times. I think the author just thought she was being creative with the name theme. I remember Autumn was named so because she had the fiery red hair and golden brown eyes. Winter had the dark hair, pale skin, and blue eyes. Summer and Spring were more named just to complete the theme.
