There is also a Tripoli in Libya, but since the Lebanese city of Tripoli has been in the news, that's the relevant one here.

However, the important thing is that most of your replies are completely anti this as a name which is what I wanted to hear. Thank you!

I will show these to my girlfriend and hopefully this and my insistence on another name will make her see sense.
