[Opinions] Re: Lucero ?
in reply to a message by molly
The singer probably does have a lot to do with the present upsurge in the name. But in terms of its origin, Lucero seems to be another Marian devotion name, because I've found references to schools or churches called "Nuestra Señora del Lucero" (Our Lady of the Lucero) in both Madrid, Spain and in the country of Colombia in South America.

Thanks. I wonder whether Lucero is a place name, originally (i.e. somewhere the Virgin Mar showed up).

In Spanish, "lucero" is a synonim of "estrella" (star).Lumia
