And I agree with Adelle - it's more balanced with two Ls. It's a great name, with a cool history. I automatically think of Jane Eyre, though. :-D

Yes, Jane Eyre! Poor little Adelle... I also think of the Awakening (not my absolute favorite), but I believe there is a character whose first name is Adelle in it, as well.

Adèle Ratignolleis in The Awakening. I'm not a fan of American Lit, and The Awakening sort of reminded me of Mrs. Dalloway-lite, but it wasn't a bad read.
