It has been two years since the discovery of the Spice Islands. Their race to keep hold of the islands has led Kriana to ignore unrest in their colony of Nadiz. This proved a grave error, and a full-scale rebellion has begun.
In the midst of it all, Emmeline gave birth the another daughter, Vivian. Arthur was falling under Emmeline's spell faster than ever, she had him wrapped around her thumb, anything Emmeline requested of Arthur, he blindly obliged.
Meanwhile, having little communication with the King, Arthur decided to act on his own and round up a small group of Knights, leading them on a mission to help cease fighting in Nadiz. Arthur, not wanting to upset his wife, decided to tell her the night before their departure. To say that Emmeline was furious is an understatement, but to her surprise, no matter how much she yelled, fought, and pleaded with her husband to stay, for once did not give in to her demands. As a last resort, Emmeline begged her brother order Arthur to stay in Kriana, but to no avail.
So off they set, Arthur leaving behind his young family. Upon arrival in Nadiz, the Knights began trying to establish law and order, and very occasionally fought in brutal battles. Unfortunately, on one such battle, Arthur was badly hurt - his life currently hangs in the balance. Emmeline, meanwhile, is in a state of shock. No one has ever said 'no' to her, nor have they denied her what she wanted. She never believed her own husband would go against her wishes. She feels abandoned, and while she loves Arthur, she wants her revenge and has struck up a friendship with a handsome, older man.
