Jacob and Silvia have decided to adopt brothers from India. The elder, a fifteen-year-old, is named Baladeva Ashoka, and he goes by David. The younger, a ten-year-old, is named Chander Gautama, and he goes by Andy.

Having lived in an apartment since their marriage, Jacob and Silvia have decided that it has gotten too cramped with their growing family. They're moving. While they're at it, they've decided to move somewhere else. They're moving to Australia, where a few of Silvia's lifelong friends are, including her all-time best friend. Jacob never really made good friends, and this makes it easier on him to be leaving now. Anyway, David is going to college in Australia, and the Andersons will be living nearby so he can visit whenever he wants.

Victor Anderson had plenty of money, and now Jacob is going through school, as well as working part time to bring in an income.

Castor Zephaniah, known as Casey, is next. Tobias Quentin, called Toby, follows Casey. Penelope Yvette, known as Penny, followed closely on Toby's heels. Reuben Barnabas, known as Ben/ny, is third youngest. Then came Esther Zipporah, known as Essie the Zippy. Finally came Lucius Kaleb, known as Luke.

Baladeva "David" Ashoka & Caitlin "Katie" Regina Anderson (28 & 25) live in Alberta, Canada, where David and Katie first met. Katie was elected the mayor of their little town, and David is a surgeon. Katie has enough time to be at home if and when they have children.

As a one-year anniversary thing, David and Katie go on a second honeymoon. Last time, they traveled around Great Britain. This time, David and Katie have decided to visit France, Spain, and Portugal.
