Eccentric. Whacky. Affected. Not quite Anne Rice-ish. Like Larkin - not like Jay or Robin.
I think it's too feminine, personally; I think I would not want to be a man named Lark. The songbird / spontaneity association lacks the gravity to make a positive-impact man-name IMPO. But it's not unacceptable or "impossible" for a man. I can picture it working okay, because of the clipped sound. I think it's just not a great first impression.
