Maybe you associate it with
Tara Lipinski a little bit.
I always ask how to say it, because I've had friends
Tara who pronounce it each way (Tah-ra, Tair-a). I don't really have a preference for the pronunciation but I guess Lipinski does make Tah-ra seem more glittery.
It has a fragile quality, that almost all T names have for me. So I don't like it a lot. But I don't dislike it. Yes, it's dated. It's alright, it's just kind of more everyday now than it seemed originally - kind of along the same lines as
Tracy or
Tanya.
