I don't like either of them. I prefer Pauline because I really dislike the rhythm of Paulette. If I had to use a fem form of Paul, it'd be Paula, but I'd rather use Paul for a boy.
I was at school with a Paula who was known to some as Polly. That's the best you can do with it!
