I've never considered it a stripper/prostitue name or anything of that sort.It's short for the Italian word "bambina" ("little girl") and it's the name of an extremely cute cartoon deer. To me it screams "Barbie-Doll" name, the kind of name given by a parent who envisions their little girl as always being a little girl and never growing up. There's no scope for maturity or respect in it.Not for me, thanks.

Thanks, i just have this total fear that someone would think 'stripper' lol. My dad says not to care what people think, but it's hard for me.

Worrying about what family members would say about my names worries me too. The names I like are so different (Sunniva, Keturah, etc.) I'd be embarassed to tell anyone!

I don't worry.I know whatever name I use my mother probably will not like it. I don't care. :-D (Especially as my mom thinks Veronica, Susannah, and Tabitha are horrible names.)

Lol, yeah, I probably worry far too much about what people will think. Not people in general usually, but definitely family members! And since I have a really big extended family, that's a lot of people to worry about :-/
