Re: where does Oles originate??
At the moment in Europe this surname only exists in GERMANY, perhaps extremely rare in Sweden. in scandinavian countries see OLESEN.

I don't find OLES in my German book of surnames (which of course doesn't mean it's not a German name). But I did find OLESCH (pronounced Olesh), and this sounds interesting to me:

"From a Polish vernacular form of Alexander, adapted to German"
