i.e.: Emberlin could be a placename composed of ember and lin , the latter meaning 'waterfall, small lake or pond'.

Paul Reaney lists several surnames deriving from the female given name Emmeline/Ammeline. These include Emblem and Embling. Perhaps Emberlin is another variation.
-lin is a Swedish surname ending, but I don't think this is Swedish.
