My last name is Yawn and I would like to know what country it is from. I have heard that it could be Dutch, Chinese, or Irish. I am Irish and Indian on one side of my father's family, the Thompsons. On the other side, the family only goes back a few generations starting at my father Robert Hollis Yawn to Hollis Robert Yawn (my grandfather) to Charles Yawn which is where the line ends. I would like information of the Yawn name or family of Charles Yawn who lived in Alabama during the early 1900's. Thanks.
