Gallo, Rallo, Vallo....origins, meanings
Does anyone know the origins & meanings of Gallo, Rallo, & Vallo ? I believe they are Italian & spanish.

When I looked up the word "vallo" in an Italian dictionary, it says it means "vallum, rampart, or wall. I don't know if the surname Vallo has anything to do with this.
I looked up the word "baglio" in an Italian dictionary. It says that "baglio" means "beam, or midship beam". I don't know if the surname Baglio has anything to do with this.

GALLO quite common around Italy it comes mainly from a masculin first name GALLO.
There is also another variant GALLI.
VALLO is a locative surname coming from places mainly in the region of NAPLES: Campania.
RALLO: has its origins in Western SICILY. I don't know anything about its origin. Many RALLO came from TRAPANI province, especially MARSALA.
