If Beliso is Italian in origin, how do you account for the fact that the name doesn't show up on any of following websites which list the surnames of Italy:

Nor does it appear in Francipane's Dizionario ragionato dei cognomi italiani (2005) which is the most complete and up-to-date Italian surname dictionary.

Our name originated in Brittany, France when 2 families united, Val and LIson became Valison. When they branched out into the Philippines, because of the pronunciation and that the alphabet there does not contain "V" it was changed to Beliso.
