Why did I buy a German surname book if I speak English only? The book is BAHLOW, Hans. "Deutsches Namenlexikon," pub. 1972.
Page 410 lists the similar form RAUTENBUSCH under the main entry RAUTENKRANZ. ". . . Dazu Rautenstengel, Rautenstock . . . Rautenbusch, Rautengarten, wohl alles ÜN, für Gärtner. Der Pflanzenname Raute ist . . ." Please do not ask me to transcribe all of it. If necessary ask a librarian to xerox the page. By the way, the abbreviation ÜN is not defined on page 6.
