Stritch/Stretch is Irish Locational
I found a 1700's book that shows the Stritch family back to the 1400's to Nicholas Stritch, a mayor of Limerick. Does the Stritch family go farther back?

Can you phonetically pronounce Straoits for me?
Thanks

It states here -

that the name was in Ireland in the 14th century, which is a bit earlier. If you can get hold of a book called "More Irish Families", by Edward MacLysaght, you may learn more. A reference library might have a copy.
