Eagen?
I'm wondering about the last name "Eagen." The closest I can find to it is Eagan, but I'm not sure if they're connected in any way. I don't know the ethnic background, but I come from an Irish/Polish/Native American ancestry, so it might be one of those? Any info about it would be much appreciated ^.^

Eagen is an alteration of Eagan as you can see at http://awt.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?rank=0&xcb=x&tips=0&father=eagan&given=&surname=eagen&mother=&stype=Exact&spouse=&byear=&brange=&bplace=&myear=&mrange=&mplace=&dyear=&drange=&dplace=&language=en&op=search&db=&ti=0&ti.si=0&gl=&gss=mp-awt&gst=&so=3. You'll find the origin of Eagan at http://www.ancestry.com/facts/eagan-family-history-uk.ashx, and information of the first American Eagan at http://awt.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=4767-4&id=I02450
Is "Egan" also an alternation of Eagan? I met someone with this surname and I've seen it in my area.
That's exactly what it says at http://www.ancestry.com/facts/eagan-family-history-uk.ashx
Wow, thank you so much! ^.^
Eagen is Irish. The relatively large number of Eagens in Northern England can be explained by Irish immigrants spreading out from the port of Liverpool to work in the industrial towns in Northern England. You can actually see the surname thinning out as it gets further from the source. Hope that helps
