GONTRAN in GermanyI have never heard of anyone in Germany called GONTRAN. It's not in the Duden Lexicon Familiennamen, which covers the most popular 10 000 surnames in Germany. Google gives 2000 hits only, many of which seem to refer to non-Germans. I even found GONTRAN as a given name, but the guy is Swiss (http://www.doktor.ch/verzeichnisse/adressen-aerzte/chirurgen/2817.html)
