my brother is currently dating a girl who's last name is Fightmaster, which in my mind is officially the coolest surname ever. i've asked her about it, but she doesn't know much.

The ancestor of the Fightmasters is one Jorg Veith from Germany as you can see at http://awt.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=jema02&id=I4371. Veith comes from the Latin name Vitus but I can't figure how or why the -master part got tacked onto it.
