I think a latin origin highly unlikely. You might find something googling "Berber Names", "Tunisian names", or similar. If you can do the same in French that might open things out.

That's what I did first, but my results weren't much different from yours. I think I read something somewhere a long time ago about some -um ending names in Tunisia coming from latin. I do think it's very unlikely but given the history of Tunisia, it wouldn't have been totally nonsensical either.
