Tne meaning and origin of 'CLUBINE'
The Surname I am interested in is 'Clubine' and I was told that it is French/Huguenot. I am having a very difficult time in researching this surname. Any help and suggestions would be much appreciated.

Maybe it's from the Norwegian first name Colbein (because Colbine and Culbine also exist...). Does Clubine rhyme with MEAN or with MINE?
Come to think of it, Colbein is obviously the Norwegian form of Calvin, the French-born founder of the Calvinist movement, which in France was called Huguenot. So what you heard was right, and any Norwegian connection is probably only secundary. Calvin(-us) is the Latin translation of his real surname 'Chauvin', meaning bald. See www.behindthename.com
Just a guess, but it looks like a alternate of Columbine ...from Latin, columba "dove" ...
