I always wondered what the meaning of my surname DINNESEN is. It is somehow nordic and varies as DINESEN, DINESSEN, DINISSEN, DENESSEN. It is most common in denmark and in the north of germany near to the netherlands.
May be somebody knows something about the roots and meanings of it.It was the pen name of Blixen, the danish author of "out of africa"
