'Allen' - From Cherokee Indians to Allen.
Unfortunately, I've never been able to trace back my family tree very far. The 'Allen' side of my family were Cherokee Indians in Indian Territory (Oklahoma) and so there aren't many records. Somehow, they ended up with the name Allen (not sure if they choose it, or what...). Any insight to how this came to be? And where do most Allen's originate from?

Also -Also, the name stops 3 generations from me... at least that's all I've been able to find so far.
