my brother luke had a geneology done and it said that the meaning of our name is a "shepard" like in sheep or cattle. this makes sense because dominic pastotnik's father in slovenia was a vetrinarian.the original far as my grandfather says is pestotnik but name is pronounced (pass-tote-nick) and the teachers in school said that pastotnik is the proper spelling for american english.
