re-Winslade
Does anyone know where the surname 'Winslade' comes from? It was my grandfathers surname and he was from Kent, England.

It's from a Hampshire place-name. It's said to mean "Win's stream", Win being a man's name meaning "friend" (as in Goodwin, etc.). I don't know how anybody could lay claim to a stream. I suppose it could be the stream that flows past Win's house.
