all my life I have heard that Saša is a shorter version of the name Alexandar, but I have received information from some Slavic anthropologists and linguists that this came with Christianity. and that in combination with my last name Ostojić means Defender of man. and that during the baptism of the southern Slavs, one of the church imperatives at the time was for both the name and the surname to acquire meanings that would be lost over time. new research shows that the possible reason was the reason that Ostojić is one of the oldest Slavic surnames and its significance throughout history has been great, numerologically strong, etc.
